Foundry
Foundry starts companies. The site had to read like an institution rather than a startup — a manifesto, an index of the companies it has built, a journal, and a room people can ask to join. Editorial typography, plated photography, and a single unhurried scroll from belief to invitation.
The challenge
A holding company with two companies to its name and a long view. Nothing to demo, no product to screenshot. The site had to carry conviction on its own.
Our approach
We built it as an issue, not a homepage. Numbered sections, a display serif set large and quiet, black-and-white plates captioned like an archive, and prose given room to breathe. Every scroll ends on a question rather than a pitch.
The result
Live at thefoundry.africa. Seven sections, three editorial plates, a companies index and a journal — shipped as one continuous scroll, desktop and mobile.
